Easy Piano Lesson For beginners

When starting to learn to play the piano or any instrument for that matter can be pretty daunting.  The key is to break it up into basic simple  easy steps so the beginner won't get overwhelmed

Starting from the very beginning it is important to lean the basics to form the foundation for your continued learning.

Now when playing the piano it is important tat you are seated in an optimised position. Especially when starting out.  You will be putting some effort when you start out and your body is not used to seating in this position for any length of time so the more comfortable you make it the better you will find your practice coming along.

When learning to play piano its important to sit in a position that is comfortable and lets you easily arch the keys.  Sit down on a bench, chair or stool -anything that is high enough to keep your forearms parallel with the floor when your fingertips are at the keyboard. Your shoulders should be relaxed and your elbows at the side of your body.  Your fingers should be slightly curved with your wrists in line with your forearms- not bent down or bent up just nice and straight and relaxed just have your fingertips lightly touching the keys.

On the piano you see black keys and white keys.  The black keys are a repeating pattern of 2 then 3 then 2 than 3.. al the way to the end of the piano.

When you add all the white keys in between its actually pattern of 12 keys. The black keys are called sharps & flats.In this first easy piano lessons we will just concentrate on the white keys. Imagine the notes as similar to the alphabet from A to G.  The key on the left of the two black keys is 'C' then going along the keyboard to the right  you have the 'D', then the 'E' , then 'F' 'G' than 'A' then 'B'- then the pattern repeats itself beginning with 'C', 'D' , 'E' . 'F' , G, A B C and so on. This pattern of notes stays the same regardless of the size of the keyboard to Piano.  From your funky electric keyboard to a grand piano.
